Title:	Construyendo Hoy No. 8 (Dic/2004) (Spanish)
Review:	The magazine Costruyendo Hoy is the Official bulletin of the Costa Rican Association of Engineers in Construction. The end of a year full of experiences and learnings that have filled me with personal and professional satisfaction, gives me great pleasure to write a few words as editor for this second edition of our Digital Magazine “Construyendo Hoy”, which new image consolidates itself as a point of contact between Construction Market and Engineers and the information they requiere, represented by the Asociación Costarricense de Ingenieros en Construcción (ACIC). Great goals were obtained to improved the projection of ACIC and CITEC and their respectives associations. The Forum about the steel crisis occured in the first part of the year and the Forum about Calidad de la Vivienda de Interés Social in the second part of the year, both events were treated with national importance and had success, that wasn´t reported since several years in ACIC´s activities. That situation motivates us to continue working in the discussion and analysis of technical topics that affect us all, making reactions and solutions in a very short time that benefit everybody. With great pleasure and a lot of new ideas for coming, I leave the role of Fiscal de la Junta Directiva of ACIC to assume the chairmanship of the CITEC since October. Great things we hope to do, the integration and active participation of a large number of professionals is essencial, so I invite you to participate in the work commissions that will shape the beginning of 2005, and to get the maximun results from our technical capacities, and lead the construction area as bachelors of the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica. I also encourage you to contribute with the Digital Magazine, capturing the knowledge acquired for many years of practice and based in invaluable experiences, and allowing other professionals to learn about it, we don´t let the time erase of our mind that great quantity of knowledge that grows in our minds day by day. In this edition you will find different papers presented during the Forum about Calidad de la Vivienda de Interés Social, and the II Engineers in Construction Meeting, inviting you to take the time to read it and receive the knowledge capture in those presentations, elaborated by profesionals of great experience in the academic sector and in the Costa Rican housing sector.
